"Sound of Vietnam" brings together distinctive soundscapes from both urban and rural life, reflecting the rhythms of daily activities, labor, and the social and economic practices of the Vietnamese people. In particular, the archive preserves the auditory traces of cultural practices that are gradually disappearing under the pressures of urbanization—from traditional street cries and karaoke echoing through alleyways to the voices of children playing the game ‘5–10’.
