Kim Han Nom
Kim Han Nom
Kim Hán Nôm is a tool designed to support the translation of Hán-Nôm (classical Chinese and demotic Vietnamese) texts, developed by faculty members from the Faculty of Information Technology and the Center for Computational Linguistics at the University of Science – Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM). By applying artificial intelligence, Kim Hán Nôm offers two main functions: the recognition and translation of Hán-Nôm texts. Specifically, the tool can identify and translate standard literary texts (such as books and stories), administrative documents (such as imperial edicts and royal decrees), and inscriptions in public spaces (such as temples, pagodas, and shrines).

Listening to Women's Bell
Listening to Women's Bell allows users to engage in conversations with an AI-powered simulation of an early 20th-century Vietnamese woman. Citing from the Xã Thuyết and Gia Chánh columns of Nữ Giới Chung, the AI responds using language and ideas reflective of the era, inviting contemporary visitors to discuss any concerns they may have. This immersive experience revives the historical practice of moral guidance between sisters, offering a window into the lives and concerns of Vietnamese women during the colonial era, as well as the feminist values they advocated for in a transitional period, balancing between Confucian traditions and newly imported Western values.
